At Cycling the Camino, we help you with your luggage

The luggage collection service is a support provided by Cycling the Camino for pilgrims arriving in Santiago de Compostela. What we aim to do with this service is to prevent our cycling pilgrims from having to carry suitcases or any extra items they bring from home, leaving only the strictly necessary items in their panniers—this is a golden rule on the Camino: carry only what you need!!!. This service is provided through the transport company MRW, and the regulations governing it are those of the transport company, not those of Cycling the Camino. Among the common rules for any transport service, on the Camino de Santiago, the following apply:

  • The minimum transit time is 72 hours, counting only working days. If your Camino will last less than this, we will not be able to help you.
  • The suitcase must be tagged—with our address—and left at reception, where an MRW courier will collect it.
  • This service cannot be provided in tourist apartments, Airbnb or similar accommodations without a permanent reception, or those managed remotely.
  • It is not possible to schedule personalized deliveries to specific locations or times—no exceptions.
  • If you are delivering the suitcase to an MRW office yourself, you must request a tracking number from Cycling the Camino. We will not be responsible for the luggage without this step.
  • If you want to track the suitcase, you can ask us for the pickup number and use MRW's website to follow the delivery.
  • This service is NOT included in the bike rental price. It has a minimum cost of €10, and beyond that, €3 per kilo. Additionally, it is exclusive to Cycling the Camino customers and not available to those who have not rented our bicycles.

Please remember that Cycling the Camino is NOT responsible for delays caused by the transport company, which operates independently. The service is fully provided by MRW Spain-Portugal and governed by their terms and conditions.
